About the Position

The Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia is seeking a tenure-track open rank appointment in Data Analytics and Decision Science (DADS). As a member of the DADS faculty, you will contribute to the school's mission by conducting influential research, teaching excellence, and producing high-quality teaching materials.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and publish in premier outlets
  • Teach courses in decision analysis, data analysis, optimization, data science, behavioral decision making, game theory, and project management
  • Mentor students in the Master of Science in Business Analytics program and Darden's non-degree Executive Education programs
  • Develop and maintain interactions with practicing managers and academicians
  • Support the development of teaching materials and contribute to the school's research agenda
Requirements
  • PhD in Decision Sciences, Data Science, Management Science, Operations Research, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related area
  • Ability to generate research of the highest quality and publish in premier outlets
  • Experience as a successful researcher, teacher, and colleague
  • Ability to teach in MBA and executive programs
  • Senior candidates must provide evidence of scholarly and managerial impact
