Job Summary

Partner Engineering and Science is seeking a Full-Time Mechanical and Building Systems Engineer to join our Integrated Facility Solutions (IFS) Group. This position is responsible for performing and reviewing Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) and Fire Life Safety (FLS) system assessments. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of all major MEP and FLS systems and be able to perform self-assessments, prepare reports, and provide technical direction and guidance to project managers.

Responsibilities

• Perform MEP assessments and prepare reports
• Conduct visual observations of heating and cooling equipment, lighting systems, and major electrical systems
• Assess the existing condition of plumbing systems, fire protection and life safety systems, and document existing conditions and significant deficiencies
• Gather key data from major MEP system equipment tags and review setpoints, schedules, and system capabilities of existing building automation systems
• Conduct in-depth interviews with property owners, management personnel, facility engineers, and local government officials
• Prepare estimated costs to remedy building deficiencies and provide technical direction and guidance to project managers
• Communicate with clients and management to discuss and develop solutions to recognized MEP system concerns

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, the ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a similar field, and 5+ years of commercial/industrial engineering consulting or design experience. A P.E. in mechanical engineering and certifications such as CEM, CEA, CBCP, or CMVP are preferred. The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be comfortable interfacing directly with clients, and have strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to travel up to 40% of the time is also required.

Compensation

The wage range for this role is $80,000 to $110,000, and the candidate may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.
