About the Job
Diamond Medical Recruiting LLC is seeking a skilled Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team of healthcare professionals in New York. As a gastroenterology healthcare professional, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive gastroenterology care to patients in various nursing homes across the state of New York.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient-centered care to patients with gastroenterology diseases and conditions
- Assess and treat patients with gastroenterology conditions, including diagnosing and developing treatment plans
- Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure seamless coordination of care
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and physical examinations
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications and administer treatments as needed
- Provide counseling to patients and their families, and make appropriate adjustments to care plans
- Commit to person-centered care and create a safe and nurturing environment for elderly residents in the nursing home
Requirements
- 6 months experience in long-term care
- DEA License
- Active NY state license
- Experience in gastroenterology (1 year minimum)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
