Job Title: Nurse Practitioner

Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Neurology team in Bronx, New York.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality patient care in our Sleep-Wake Disorder Center. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care and develop treatment plans.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and provide care to patients with sleep disorders, including performing sleep histories and examinations, ordering diagnostic evaluations, and implementing treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care and develop treatment plans.
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic procedures and tests within the scope of privileging.
  • Develop and analyze differential diagnoses based on clinical and laboratory data.
  • Prescribe medications and educate patients and their families about drug regimens, interactions, and side effects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Required
  • Master's Degree Preferred
  • 5 years experience in Nursing
  • New York State License for a Registered Professional Nurse and current registration and permit to practice in NYS as an RN
  • New York State Nurse Practitioner specialty certification and registration
  • Good working knowledge of EPIC
