Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner Neurology to join our team in Bronx, New York.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and providing care to patients with sleep disorders in collaboration with physicians. This includes carrying out the plan of care for patient panels, managing sleep disorders, and assisting physicians and secretaries in the management of positive airway pressure devices and prescription medications.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care and health goals
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic procedures and tests within the scope of privileging
  • Develop and analyze differential diagnoses based on clinical and laboratory data
  • Prescribe medications and educate patients on drug regimens, interactions, and side effects
  • Perform related duties as necessary to ensure appropriate delivery of patient care
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Required
  • Master's Degree Preferred
  • 5 years experience in Nursing
  • New York State License for a Registered Professional Nurse and current registration and permit to practice in NYS as an RN
  • New York State Nurse Practitioner specialty certification and registration
  • Good working knowledge of EPIC
