We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Central Sterile Tech to join our healthcare team at HCA Florida North Florida Hospital. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest level of quality and safety in the preparation and sterilization of surgical instruments.
Key Responsibilities:- Clean and decontaminate surgical instruments and equipment using detergents and disinfecting solutions
- Wrap, seal, and accurately label items that are to be sterilized
- Sterilize instruments, equipment, linen, and related supplies using sterilizers
- Prepare surgical sets and instruments ensuring that all instrumentation is correct and accurate
- Ensure that all instrument cards are kept up to date and accurate
- Store sterilized and prepared supplies and equipment in designated areas
- Inform bio-med of equipment no longer serviceable or other problems that arise
- Certification/Experience in Sterile Processing required
- 2+ years of experience required
