We are seeking a skilled Emergency Department Technician to provide direct patient care and perform selected therapeutic interventions and diagnostic procedures while maintaining a calm, caring, clean, and safe environment. This role is crucial in delivering exceptional patient experiences through effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintain clinical competence to provide safe and efficient direct patient care respectful of age-specific considerations. Incorporate computer technology into patient care delivery.
  2. Coordinate and facilitate daily clerical operations of the ED by rapidly responding to requests from physicians / nurses related to care delivery needs and patient disposition duties to expedite patient flow inclusive of coordinating patient transfers.
  3. Maintain a prepared, clean patient care environment stocked with needed equipment and supplies to facilitate safe and effective patient care.
  4. Collaborate and communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to achieve excellence in the patient care experience consistently mindful of efficient patient flow. Incorporate SERVICE values into daily practice.
  5. Actively participate in and support departmental and organizational quality initiatives and goals with a focus on efficient workflow.

This position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be certified in CPR and have a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as any necessary certifications such as Certified Nursing Assistant or Emergency Medical Technician.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $65,000 - $85,000 per year, offering a competitive compensation package that reflects the importance of this role in delivering exceptional patient care at Doylestown Health.
