Overview

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Florida civil procedure, evidence, and trial strategy, with excellent written and oral advocacy skills. They will be well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to independently manage a caseload with time-sensitive deadlines. The position is a hybrid role, requiring a mix of in-office and remote work.

Our team is located in downtown St. Petersburg, FL, and we enjoy an active and busy civil trial practice. We provide a congenial and team-oriented work environment with skilled support staff.

Qualifications
  • Must have a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials
  • Must have an active license to practice law in Florida and be a member in good standing with the Florida Bar
  • 3+ years of legal experience is preferred
  • Insurance defense experience is preferred but not required
  • Jury trial experience in civil or criminal law is preferred
  • Experience handling discovery, depositions, and hearings
  • Strong automation and technological skills for lawsuit handling and trials, including Word, Outlook, and Westlaw
  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not required
