Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician II to join our team at Brigham & Women's Hospital (BWH). As a key member of our Central Processing Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care by preparing and sterilizing medical devices and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, sort, and decontaminate surgical/clinic items and instrumentation
  • Inspect and package single instruments and instrument kits
  • Identify and select appropriate sterilization method and cycle
  • Document all sterile processes and maintain accurate inventory
  • Collaborate with preceptors to develop skills and perform core functions independently
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • One year of experience in sterile processing or comparable experience
  • Graduate from an accredited Central Processing program
  • Certified Registered Central Service Technical (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution (CSPD) certification
Working Conditions

This position requires rotating weekend and on-call requirements. You will be exposed to a high level of noise, heat, and humidity due to the sterilization process. A strict dress code and professional appearance are required.
