Job Title: Shuttle Driver

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Shuttle Driver to join our team at Sonic Automotive. As a Shuttle Driver, you will play a critical role in enhancing our customers' positive service experience by safely and efficiently transporting them to and from their homes or offices while service is being performed on their vehicles.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Valet vehicles to and from service lanes, service stalls, and parking lots as needed
* Sweep, mop, and clean service areas, including driveways, sidewalks, lunch rooms, and technician stalls
* Clean bathrooms and restock paper supplies as needed
* Empty and clean all trash receptacles, inside and out
* Remove old scrap parts from the shop
* Clean oil storage tanks, drains, and dispose of oil filters
* Assist technicians with oil and water spills and emptying drain tubs
* Run errands as directed by the foreman
* Understand and follow OSHA Right-to-Know regulations and use proper eye, hand, and body protection when using products that require protection
* Drive customers to their homes or places of business and pick them up after their vehicle is repaired
* Use good judgment and safe driving skills
* Keep a timely shuttle route
* Assist passengers getting in and out of vehicles
* Operate a radio or similar device to communicate with the dealership or other vehicles to report disruptions in service
* Keep a record of trips, including names of passengers and destination or pick-up point
* Notify the dispatcher or service manager of any servicing the shuttle vehicle may require, such as oil changes, tires, cleaning, and general maintenance
* Maintain a professional appearance
* Follow all company safety policies and procedures and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.

**Requirements:**

* Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
* High school diploma or equivalent required
