Job Overview

As a Charcoal Grill Cook, you will play a vital role in crafting exquisite meals for our patrons. You will adhere to our Bear Tooth Grill recipes while incorporating your unique flair to meet our customers' tastes. Collaborating closely with both Front of House and Back of House teams, your efforts will ensure that every guest enjoys an unforgettable dining experience. Maintaining a clean workspace and following hygiene and dress code policies will be essential in providing safe and exceptional food service.

*Availability on Sundays is a requirement for this position.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Comply with all safety, sanitation, and policy guidelines.
  2. Stay informed about menu items and their ingredients.
  3. Carefully read all printed tickets with attention to detail.
  4. Precisely prepare orders in accordance with recipe guidelines and ticket specifications.
  5. Monitor equipment temperatures and cooking times, taking pride in each item served.
  6. Safely operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, and grills.
  7. Effectively manage the timing of various products and courses for each order.
  8. Properly handle, store, date, and rotate all food products.
  9. Promptly communicate any equipment or food quality concerns to a manager.
  10. Maintain clear and professional communication with all restaurant staff.
  11. Complete all opening, closing, and side duties as assigned.
  12. Assist with dishwashing and other cleaning tasks as necessary.
  13. Work collaboratively with colleagues, fostering a respectful and kind environment.
Qualifications

Must be available to work on Sundays.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old and possess a Municipality of Anchorage Food Worker Card (or be willing to obtain one).

While prior experience is preferred, we are open to hiring candidates with a positive attitude, even if they lack experience. There are significant growth opportunities for the right individual.

Skills and Work Environment
  1. Ability to stand for the duration of the shift with minimal breaks.
  2. Capable of working in a noisy, fast-paced environment with distractions.
  3. Ability to lift and carry over 30 lbs.
  4. Comfortable working in hot and humid conditions.
  5. Possess good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
  6. Self-motivated with effective time management skills.
  7. Ability to multitask and remember multiple ticket items.
  8. Basic knowledge of kitchen terminology and knife skills.
