Job Summary

Pursue a challenging and rewarding career as a Clinical Nurse Educator Cardiovascular at PeaceHealth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing nursing education programs, activities, and processes to promote safe and effective patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement nursing education programs, activities, or new processes/equipment using PeaceHealth training standards, processes, templates, and course documentation forms.
  • Participate on teams and partner on development of standardized cross-regional clinical, nursing, or quality guidelines, protocols, or training curriculum in area of expertise.
  • Coordinate and provide department-specific orientation for newly hired nursing and clinical staff.
  • Conduct learning needs assessment, facilitate practice and process changes in assigned area of expertise.
  • Evaluate competency and identify team or individual caregiver performance gaps.
  • Design learning experiences and action plans to assist those requiring remediation to meet competency expectations.
  • Research best practice to promote evidence-based practice.
  • Assess caregiver engagement, patient quality indicators, and evaluate education effectiveness to achieve clinical excellence.
  • Ensure training and competency are documented using standard tools and learning management systems (LMS).
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse in the state where the nurse will be practicing.
  • Basic Life Support.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a RN.
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in an education or in an equivalent Preceptor role setting to varied audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Nursing Professional Development Certification.
  • Experience in Cardiac and/or Cath Lab/IR.
