Job Summary

KVC Health Systems is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Student Success Specialist to join our team. As a Student Success Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the educational and personal growth of youth in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to youth in achieving their academic goals, including tutoring and study groups as needed.
  • Develop and implement plans to promote youth independence, self-advocacy, and self-esteem.
  • Collaborate with youth treatment teams to ensure comprehensive support and services.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed, utilizing de-escalation techniques and adhering to agency policies and procedures.
  • Document all interactions and services provided to youth, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Participate in regular departmental meetings and training sessions to stay current on best practices and agency policies.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with youth, families, and community partners to ensure a collaborative and supportive environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in social services or related field.
  • Two or more years' experience working with teens and/or training in a related field.
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with youth in foster care or other vulnerable populations.
  • Knowledge of de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention strategies.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
