The Cardinal Health Summer Internship Program is a 10-week program designed for undergraduate students to gain hands-on experience in a business-essential project. As an intern, you will work on meaningful projects, develop essential leadership skills, and participate in a formalized program to increase knowledge of Cardinal Health and the healthcare industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with SOX Program improvement and efficiencies
- Prepare request lists for upcoming audit engagements or testing activities
- Work with business contacts to obtain documentation and evidence of control execution
- Evaluate financial, operational, and IT risk to the organization
- Perform tests of controls to assess the adequacy of internal controls
- Collaborate with external auditor partners or other stakeholders on specific internal controls
- Develop detailed workpapers regarding test steps and procedures
- Document audit results after the performance of tested controls
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Expected graduation of winter 2025 or spring 2026
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
- Participation in extracurricular activities, community organizations, and/or professional associations
- Must have unlimited work authorization in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship
