Job Summary

As a Groundskeeper I, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of our students, faculty, and staff by performing a variety of tasks related to grounds maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the appearance and health of campus grounds, including lawns, gardens, and other outdoor spaces
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as mowing, pruning, and watering plants
  • Operate and maintain grounds equipment, including lawn mowers, trimmers, and other machinery
  • Assist in the preparation and implementation of grounds maintenance plans and schedules
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive and effective grounds maintenance program

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in grounds maintenance or a related field
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment and materials
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle
