Job Summary:

The Texas Tech University is seeking a highly skilled Groundskeeper I to join our team in maintaining a safe and secure campus environment. As a Groundskeeper I, you will play a critical role in ensuring the university's grounds and facilities are well-maintained and compliant with federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain the university's grounds and facilities maintenance program, ensuring compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act.
• Conduct regular inspections of campus grounds and facilities to identify and address potential safety hazards and security risks.
• Collaborate with university departments to develop and implement safety protocols and procedures.
• Provide training and support to university staff on safety and security procedures.
• Assist in the development and implementation of the Annual Campus Security Policy & Crime Statistics Report (ASR).

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in grounds and facilities maintenance or a related field.
• Knowledge of federal regulations and laws related to campus safety and security.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
