Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for planning and executing the procurement of materials for our Norman, OK plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a robust project plan for each new product introduction, ensuring timely delivery of materials and minimizing obsolete inventory impact.
  • Monitor and track inventory levels of raw, work-in-progress, and finished goods for incoming and exiting products.
  • Coordinate with engineering, materials, and manufacturing teams to strategically utilize materials marked for obsolescence.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, production schedulers, quality, and engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and facilitate speedy and accurate parts availability.
  • Manage consignment programs and purchasing agreements for commodity items.
  • Develop and maintain replenishment signals to ensure a smooth flow of materials to the manufacturing floor.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • 3 years of directly applicable experience in procurement, inventory management, or a related field.
  • SAP experience.
  • APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification.
  • Experience with inventory forecasting, developing supplier schedules, and reducing scheduling variances.
