Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer Quality Control to join our team at United Global Technologies. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in our engineering programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective quality assurance programs and procedures to ensure compliance with company and industry requirements.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to less senior professionals on quality-related tasks and projects.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure quality standards are met, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality-related solutions to complex problems.
  • Develop and maintain quality metrics and reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in quality assurance and control.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, such as engineering or quality assurance, with 8-10 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or engineering.
  • Or, an associate degree with 10-12 years of practical experience in quality assurance, quality control, or engineering.
  • Or, a high school diploma with at least 16 years of multi-disciplined professional quality assurance or engineering-related experience.
  • Practical experience in quality control, work control, materials management, civil/structural, mechanical, maintenance, construction, or related areas.
  • Previous mechanical and welding inspection or surveillance experience.
  • Ability to perform weekly field walk-downs of the job site for engineering work being performed.
  • Well-developed organizational and supervisory skills with good communication talents.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ASQC-Certified Quality Engineer is desirable.
  • Current or prior certification as a lead auditor is preferred.
  • Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years are preferred.

This is a 100% onsite position.
