Responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness of the community, including common areas and resident suites. Ensure readiness of rooms for occupancy and viewings while adhering to all housekeeping policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Uphold the mission of Byron House in all decisions and actions.
2. Maintain a clean and sanitized environment, following all company policies and procedures.
3. Perform weekly cleaning of outdoor patios and tables.
4. Clean the front entry door daily, both morning and afternoon.
5. Conduct daily cleaning of common areas without exception, ensuring public restrooms are sanitized every two hours or as needed.
6. Secure all cleaning supplies and chemicals in a locked housekeeping cart.
7. Vacuum and wet mop the dining area after each meal, assisting with wiping down chairs and tables as necessary.
8. Manage inventory and assist in ordering approved cleaning supplies and chemicals.
9. Ensure that suites are cleaned and prepared for showings within 24 hours of vacancy.
10. Communicate with the Assistant Director each morning to identify immediate cleaning needs.
11. Dispose of trash in resident units daily and in common areas twice a day.
12. Clean exterior areas as needed and maintain cleanliness of ashtrays in designated smoking areas.
13. Water and care for indoor plants.
Daily Maid Service:
1. Provide daily maid service for all suites, including making beds and emptying trash.
2. Conduct thorough weekly cleaning of suites, ensuring compliance with company policies.
3. Clean all bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, floors, and showers.
4. Dust and clean all surfaces, including nightstands, dressers, and wardrobes.
5. Collect and wash dishes and glasses in the kitchen.
6. Change towels and bed linens regularly.
7. Dispose of unnecessary items such as newspapers and magazines.
8. Inspect and maintain furniture condition, cleaning and rotating cushions as needed.
9. Vacuum thoroughly, moving furniture at least once a month.
10. Clean window sills, blinds, and windows.
11. Report any unusual situations to the Assistant Director.
12. Complete required checklists for living areas and kitchenettes.
13. Disinfect countertops and maintain cleanliness of floors.
14. Address resident concerns related to housekeeping or laundry services.
15. Assist with special community events as needed.
