Job Summary

We are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at US Oncology. As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of cancer treatment and research.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for individual patients; provide education.
  • Assist physicians and perform procedures as needed; conduct patient assessments and provide physician with information prior to seeing the patient.
  • Complete patient office bill.
  • Initiate and document appropriate interventions; evaluate and record patient/family response within practice protocol; prescribe drug therapies per protocol/physician consultation.
  • May supervise the activities of clinical nursing and support staff.
  • Provide case management for oncology clients and their families.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications for Nurse Practitioner:

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program for nursing education and successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education.
  • RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
  • Current state licensure as Nurse Practitioner.
  • Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.

Minimum Qualifications for Physician Assistant:

  • Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) certification.
  • Current state license as a Physician Assistant in practicing state.
  • Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.
