We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel - Contracts to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Key Responsibilities- Contract Negotiation and Management: Prepare, negotiate, and finalize agreements and other related documentation, ensuring that our company's interests are protected and that we comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Legal Risk Assessment: Assess legal risks and provide recommendations and alternative mitigating resolutions to departmental management.
- Training and Development: Provide training to other functional groups within PPD on contract requirements and other legal matters.
- Process Improvement: Help develop processes and training for the legal team.
- Customer Dispute Resolution: Assist with customer disputes as requested.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification. Juris doctorate or equivalent educational model in other jurisdictions.
- Previous Experience: Previous legal experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2-5 years' experience).
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, solid organizational skills, strong attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively, flexibility, and ability to reprioritize workload to meet changing project needs.
- Communication: Able to communicate, receive, and understand information and ideas with diverse groups of people in a comprehensible and reasonable manner.
- Work Environment: Able to work upright and stationary for typical working hours.
- Technology: Ability to use and learn standard office equipment and technology with proficiency.
- Pressure Management: Ability to perform successfully under pressure while prioritizing and handling multiple projects or activities.
- Travel: May require as-needed minimal travel (0-20%).
