Position Summary:

In this pivotal role, you will oversee a large, cross-functional team dedicated to the development of offshore wind projects. Your leadership will be crucial in ensuring the successful execution of initiatives for one of the world’s leading offshore wind energy companies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Uphold and promote high HSE standards and procedures for offshore wind projects. Share local insights while implementing global best practices.
  • Project Development: Guide the creation of a complex offshore wind project, managing the project organization and reporting to senior management.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the project in industry forums and engage with local and regional stakeholders to foster support for offshore wind initiatives.
  • Business Development: Identify and assess new business opportunities, including potential collaborations with local partners and other developers.
  • Strategic Planning: Define the strategic plan for development, managing budgets, priorities, schedules, and deliverables in alignment with financial objectives.
Your Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in leadership roles within renewable energy or large infrastructure projects.
  • Proven leadership capabilities with a focus on building and motivating diverse teams.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and establish credibility across various organizational levels.
  • Experience in managing complex projects within a matrix organization.
  • A comprehensive understanding of financial and commercial analysis related to project development.
Qualifications:

A university degree (BS) is required, with a Master’s degree preferred. A solid understanding of the US offshore wind market dynamics and the electricity market is essential. Willingness to travel regionally and internationally is expected.
