Position: Senior Accounts Receivable Manager

Location: Hybrid

As the Senior Accounts Receivable Manager, you will oversee and direct Accounts Receivable and Treasury functions across various business units, ensuring adherence to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and maintaining robust internal controls. You will ensure compliance with global standards for accounts receivable reporting, factoring, cash flow forecasting, and local banking relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of local and global business services related to invoicing, collections, accounts receivable, and treasury, including subledger management, general ledger, cash flow actuals, and forecasting, along with all associated internal controls and core accounting processes.
  • Ensure the integrity of the company's accounts receivable subledger and cash flow forecasts, in compliance with applicable IFRS standards and regulations.
  • Implement and maintain consistent accounts receivable policies regarding overdue invoices, credit matching, erroneous credit memos, and customer credit balances. Manage the accounts receivable factoring program and ensure strong cash flow from customers.
  • Responsible for submitting monthly cash flow forecasts to global treasury based on projected and actual sales, customer AR balances, and the latest financial forecasts.
  • Manage US banking relationships, ensuring best practices for ACH payments, wires, and deposits, while improving vendor data for payment support.
  • Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes for the accounts receivable subledger and financial reports, ensuring compliance with IFRS accounting and reporting requirements.
  • Provide timely financial status updates to management regarding accounts receivable and cash flow forecasting, ensuring prompt completion of journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Participate in monthly finance meetings and reviews of net sales, P&L, and balance sheets.
  • Evaluate and maintain internal controls necessary for compliance with accounting and business practices.
  • Manage staff, including candidate selection, employee coaching, performance appraisal, and recognition.
Key Qualifications:
  • Must possess a degree in accounting (CPA and/or Master of Science in Accounting preferred).
  • 10+ years of comprehensive accounting experience, preferably within a Big 4 firm, pharmaceutical sales and marketing, or large manufacturing.
  • Experience in accounting supervision is required.
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of industry-related issues are essential.
  • Deep understanding and application of GAAP and IFRS accounting principles are necessary.
  • Proven technical and analytical skills with a successful track record in a team-oriented environment.
  • Able to work and influence within a multicultural setting.
  • Proficient in leading change initiatives and process improvements.
  • Capable of proposing innovative solutions to complex financial challenges.
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure, and meet demanding deadlines.
