Job Opportunity

Watkins Distributing, a family-owned and operated beverage distribution company, is seeking a reliable and skilled Class A CDL Delivery Driver to join our team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering beer in a safe, timely, and professional manner within a defined territory. The schedule is 4, 10-hour days.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a pre-trip vehicle inspection to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Drive the assigned route, delivering beer to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Unload product from the trailer using a pallet jack and/or hand truck.
  • Check product in with store personnel and ensure all cooler space, shelf space, and displays are filled.
  • Pick up empty keg shells, damaged items, or mis-ordered products for credit.
  • Collect invoices and complete detailed route paperwork daily.
  • Rotate all products according to company standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with sales reps.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license with no major driving violations.
  • Ability to lift 25-35lbs regularly and 160lbs to waist level.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Class-A CDL license and medical card.
  • Ability to navigate with a hand truck full of products.
  • Ability to utilize standard hand-held computer input/output devices.
