We are seeking a highly skilled Physician and Surgeon to join our team at the Central California Women's Facility. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide medical care to patients in a correctional facility, performing medical assessments and providing treatment as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical care to patients in a correctional facility, including performing medical assessments and providing treatment as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients, taking into account their medical history and current condition.
- Provide education and training to nursing and other clinical staff on medical protocols and best practices.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Possession of a valid medical license in the state of California.
- Board certification in internal medicine or family medicine.
- Experience working in a correctional healthcare setting, preferably in a similar role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
