Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Architectural Designer III to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for performing all phases of architectural work from conceptual design through construction administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist project teams in the development of aesthetic and technical design and preparation of architectural design and construction documents.
- Utilize computer-assisted design software and equipment to prepare project designs and plans, including CAD, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit.
- Conduct code research and ensure quality control reviews throughout project completion.
- Collaborate with designers, consultants, and staff to meet clients' goals.
- Independently apply advanced architectural concepts and designs.
- Responsible for specific technical design aspects of an assigned major project, including investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of design solutions that best meet the client's needs.
- Provide technical guidance to less experienced architects/architectural staff.
- Participate in the conceptual design and provide full support through the entire project.
- Present directly to the client on technical and design solutions.
- Coordinate with Project Manager to directly supervise the teams' design and technical delivery.
Requirements
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Bachelor's of Science in Architecture or Bachelor's of Architecture.
- 10+ years of experience.
- Experience with computer-assisted design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch-Up.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters of Architecture.
- Professional Architect License.
- LEED AP accreditation preferred.
- Experience in education, transportation, and community architecture.
Working Conditions
Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
