Position Title: Payroll Operations Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Administration: Execute weekly payroll adjustments and guarantee precise and prompt payroll confirmations in accordance with the established processing timetable and payroll checklist.
  • Income Reporting: Manage various forms of imputed income (such as relocation benefits, stock options, and personal use of company vehicles) to ensure accurate year-end W-2 documentation.
  • Inquiry Management: Act as a primary resource for payroll and HR-related questions, collaborating with essential stakeholders and partners as necessary.
  • Year-End Processing: Support year-end bonus distributions, executive compensation settlements, and other year-end tasks affecting employees.
  • Tax Compliance: Aid in the reconciliation of tax remittances and filings completed by external payroll providers as needed.
  • Error Resolution: Utilize analytical abilities to detect and rectify discrepancies in reconciliation procedures.
  • Process Improvement: Revise the Hourly and Salary Processing Procedures to align with process modifications, ensuring adherence to compliance standards and enhancing payroll operational efficiency and accuracy.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the Shared Service Center to maintain consistency in payroll processing activities.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Engage in cross-training within the department to acquire comprehensive knowledge of payroll functions, including tax, garnishments, escheatments, and report generation to provide sufficient support for colleagues.
  • Objective Support: Contribute to the realization of organizational goals and objectives.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Undertake other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field, or a minimum of 4 to 7 years of experience in Payroll or Tax-related roles. A High School diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.
  • Knowledge Base: Fundamental understanding of payroll taxation and garnishment procedures.
  • Skill Set: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the capacity to thrive in a dynamic, deadline-oriented environment with minimal oversight.
  • Customer Orientation: Strong focus on customer service with an emphasis on quality, precision, and attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Proficient English communication abilities (both written and verbal).
  • Technical Skills: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Preferred Background: Familiarity with ADP Global View or SAP payroll systems is advantageous.
