Position Summary:The Commercial Product Photographer collaborates closely with the creative and content teams to interpret and execute established brand guidelines, delivering high-quality digital images that resonate with our brand identity.
Your primary responsibility will be to produce visually captivating and informative images that showcase the product's functionality, features, textures, and finishes. This role requires a strong ability to work within a collaborative team environment, whether in the studio or on location.
The assets you create will be utilized across various platforms, including print, digital, social media, and video, as well as for external media requirements. You will need to demonstrate problem-solving skills to efficiently execute shoots under challenging conditions and tight deadlines. This is a full-time position based in our studio.
Key Responsibilities:- Generate compelling images that are well-lit and composed, utilizing techniques such as proper exposure, focus, lens selection, composition, color management, props, lighting angles, locations, and sets that adhere to established brand style guides within a fully digital in-house studio.
- Plan and manage photo shoots based on the department's prioritization needs.
- Process, label (metadata), and prepare images for the editing team.
- Exhibit adaptability and comfort with ambiguity and a fast-paced environment, balancing organizational, personal, and team needs.
- Engage effectively with internal customers, managers, and peers, building relationships, making decisions, and solving problems.
- Commit to ongoing learning and self-development.
- Participate in essential meetings, brainstorming sessions, and planning discussions.
- Assist the Photo Manager with special projects and other assigned duties.
- 3-5 years of recent, relevant professional experience in a commercial in-studio photography environment.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Photography, Design, or a related field.
Demonstrated intermediate digital photography skills, including:
- Understanding of camera and lens basics, general imaging software usage, lighting fundamentals, composition, color correction, and proficiency in Photoshop.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Bridge, Capture One, and Microsoft Office.
- Attention to detail, initiative, and flexibility.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- High standards for personal and team performance.
