Your Role and Responsibilities:

The work you undertake as a forensic Civil/Structural Engineer will significantly influence our clients. Your contributions will be vital in delivering exceptional project outcomes and ensuring a remarkable client experience. The responsibilities of a forensic engineer include analyzing property damage, personal injuries, and design or installation issues, encompassing construction, roofing, exterior facades, catastrophic claims, and geotechnical concerns.

  • Investigate alleged failures, damages, or defects in civil/structural domains across residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
  • Analyze building systems, identify failure causes, assess construction quality, and review design or maintenance practices.
  • Conduct field investigations.
  • Research and prepare recommendations for repairs or remediation.
  • Draft reports and documentation for clients.
  • Establish trusted relationships with clients and engage socially at various events.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field is required.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of employment is mandatory.
  • 5 - 10 years of experience in design across residential, commercial, and industrial settings is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel 25 - 30%+, including local trips with occasional overnight stays.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and environments.
  • Capability to work at heights, such as roofs or scaffolding, requiring physical agility and balance.
  • Must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle in a work capacity.
