About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a seasoned engineer with a strong background in structural engineering and forensic analysis. You will work closely with our team of experts to investigate complex structural failures, develop repair scopes, and communicate with clients, code officials, and contractors.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct fieldwork to document as-built conditions and damage to structural systems
  • Utilize building codes, technical knowledge of structural behavior, and understanding of construction practices to establish repair scope recommendations
  • Evaluate design drawings and documentation
  • Communicate with clients, interface with code officials and contractors, and provide detailed reports
  • Manage multiple project assignments, executing them on time and within budget
  • Retention and development of client relationships
Requirements
  • 8-10+ years of structural engineering experience in design or other backgrounds that promote an understanding of structural behavior
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an ABET accredited program required
  • PE License in Florida, or ability to gain reciprocity. NCEES registrations preferred
  • Knowledge of national building and construction codes (ICC, ASCE, AISC, ACI, NDS, etc.)
  • Experience in providing litigation support, including expert testimony at depositions and/or trial, mediation, and arbitration proceedings, desirable
