Position Overview:

Soliant Education is in search of a committed Special Education Teacher specializing in early childhood education. This role is dedicated to assisting young learners diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder within a structured educational framework.

Location: Wilmington, Illinois

Role Details:

This full-time position involves working with students in an Autism Program focused on enhancing Communication and Adaptive Behavior. The working hours are from 7:35 AM to 3:05 PM, totaling 35 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute individualized education plans (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
  • Provide tailored instruction and interventions in line with the Communication & Adaptive Behavior Program.
  • Evaluate and track student progress, modifying teaching methods as necessary to support individual learning requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with families, therapists, and educational staff to foster each child's development.
  • Create a supportive and interactive classroom atmosphere that encourages growth and communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related discipline.
  • Current state certification for teaching early childhood special education.
  • Preferred experience with students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
  • Strong skills in communication, organization, and classroom management.
