Advanced Software Development Expert

With a presence in 195 countries and a platform that offers over 300 million tickets annually, we are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Platform Runtime team.
About the RoleWe are looking for a highly skilled software engineer with a strong background in designing and developing robust, mission-critical systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in distributed systems, microservices architectures, caching strategies, and message queuing systems. Additionally, they should be able to analyze and enhance system scalability, reliability, and performance metrics.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining a suite of SDKs, services, shared packages, and tools used by other teams across the organization. This includes developing an intuitive cross-performant runtime environment that serves as a 'container' for business/customer-facing services.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop scalable services actively used by internal customers.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in distributed caching and messaging, with a deep understanding of associated design patterns.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to identify technical inefficiencies and propose scalable solutions and engineering patterns.
- Drive initiatives to improve performance and scalability across the platform.
- Champion best practices in software development, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency.
- 5-6+ years of professional experience in software development.
- Expertise in designing and optimizing distributed systems, including microservices architectures, caching strategies, and message queuing systems.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and enhance system scalability, reliability, and performance metrics.
- Proven ability to learn other coding platforms, frameworks, and tools.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
We offer a competitive compensation package that includes a base annual salary of $225,000 USD, which is part of our total compensation and benefits package. This includes equity, 401(k), paid time off, paid parental leave, and comprehensive health benefits.
