Job Description

Truly Good Foods is a leading manufacturer of healthy snacks and food products. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team in Charlotte, NC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate production activities to ensure maximum efficiency and quality.
  • Review production orders and schedules to plan department operations.
  • Approve and process payroll reports and time cards.
  • Assist in preparing operational schedules and coordinating manufacturing activities.
  • Work with the plant manager to review production and operating reports and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety GMPs procedures and policies.
  • Work with the Safety Manager to ensure full compliance of safety procedures and policies.
  • Collaborate with the Food Safety and Quality Control Techs to ensure compliance of all food safety, quality control, and GMP procedures and processes.
  • Assist in all worker's compensation first reports of injury and/or incidents.
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Lead weekly safety talks and meetings.
  • Engage with and be a member of the safety committee.
  • Inspect machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
  • Assist the plant manager in developing or revising standard operational and working practices and observe workers to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Compile, store, and retrieve production data.
  • Provide high-quality customer service to internal and external customers, vendors, and others alike.
  • Adhere to company Policy and Procedures.
  • Perform duties as workload necessitates.
  • Maintain a positive and respectful attitude.
  • Act as a role model within and outside the company.
  • Communicate regularly with supervisor about department issues.
  • Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize.
  • Consistently report to work on time, prepared to perform duties of position.
  • Meet department productivity standards.
Scope of Responsibility
  • This job will have periodic access to confidential data including wages and salaries, company records, customer quotes, and product costs.
  • Directly supervise non-supervisory employees in the production department.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Requirements
  • College degree in industrial management or business management or four to five years related experience and/or training.
  • Prior supervisory experience required.
  • Previous experience using production machines required.
