Ochsner Health is looking for a Diagnostic Audiology Expert to join our team. As an Audiologist, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and rehabilitation services for individuals with hearing impairments.

This role offers a $80,000 - $105,000 per year salary, based on experience. In addition to your base compensation, you may also be eligible for various benefits packages, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

About the Job
This position involves assessing auditory function in normal hearing and hearing-impaired patients of all ages. You will communicate complex medical information to patients and their families, ensuring they understand their diagnosis and treatment options. Responsibilities include conducting diagnostic audiological evaluations, newborn hearing screenings, and otoacoustic emissions testing.

Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for assessing candidacy for hearing aids and implantable devices, providing rehabilitation options, and facilitating departmental practice by scheduling and coordinating appointments. Additionally, you will assist in the orientation and training of new employees and attend relevant in-services/education programs.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must possess a Master's degree in Audiology or a Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) in the state of practice. A minimum of one year of experience in the audiology field is also required. Current licensure as a hearing aid dispenser in the state of practice is necessary, and certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
