Position Title: Certified Medical Assistant
Hourly Wage: $23.39
Position Summary:
We are seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant for our medical clinic. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional customer service skills, exhibit a professional demeanor, and excel in multitasking. As a vital member of the healthcare team, the Medical Assistant will facilitate patient flow and ensure quality care is delivered in a safe and timely manner. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required; proficiency in additional languages is welcomed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring that all patient clinical measures are addressed through thorough electronic health record (EHR) reviews, tracking, and documentation of clinical outcomes.
- Coordinate and manage patient referrals, collaborating closely with Referral Coordinators as necessary.
- Work collaboratively with the care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes based on the Patient-Centered Medical Home model.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care to patients.
- Assist healthcare providers in managing an average of 18-21 patients daily.
- Prepare for patient visits by collecting necessary information and vital signs.
- Ensure accurate documentation of care provided and processes followed in accordance with organizational protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam and procedure rooms, ensuring all supplies are stocked and disinfected.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider, adhering to established protocols.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.
- Assist with laboratory tests and the retrieval of patient records from other healthcare facilities.
- Maintain compliance with all health and safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a Washington State Medical Assistant Certification or an Interim License with the intention to pass the certification exam within the probationary period.
- Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification within 90 days of hire and maintain throughout employment.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
