Job Summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Assistant Certified to join our team at our Marysville Medical Clinic. As a Medical Assistant Certified, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure Patient Flow and Quality Care: Assist providers in serving an average of 18-21 patients per day, ensuring timely and efficient patient flow, and providing quality patient care in a safe and timely manner.
  • Coordinate Patient Referrals: Coordinate and process all patient referrals, both internal and external, working closely with Referral Coordinators to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Collaborate with Care Team Members: Work collaboratively with all care team members to provide the best outcomes for patients and the organization, adhering to the Patient-Centered Medical Home model of care.
  • Assist with Clinical Procedures: Assist providers with GYN exams, I&Ds, and other minor procedures, ensuring aseptic technique and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care provided, and processes engaged in, in accordance with Sea Mar protocol.
  • Manage Medication and Immunization Data: Maintain and reconcile medication and immunization data, ensuring compliance with Sea Mar policies and procedures.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement Initiatives: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, including Joint Commission, NPSG, Department of Health, Clinical Quality Measures, PCMH, QI, and other contractual obligations.
  • Communicate Effectively: Demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, ensuring effective communication with patients, providers, and other care team members.
Requirements
  • Washington State MA-Certificate or MA-Interim License: Must have a Washington State MA-Certificate or possess an MA-Interim License and pass the exam within the 90-day probationary period.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR: Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR within 90 days of hire date and maintain throughout employment.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish: Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required.
