Airfield Operations Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Airport Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Spokane Airport. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our airfield and facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain a variety of equipment, including construction and heavy equipment, to support airfield maintenance and operations.
- Perform mechanical and electrical work, as well as general labor tasks, to maintain and repair airfield facilities and equipment.
- Conduct regular airfield inspections to identify and address potential safety hazards and maintenance issues.
- Respond to tenant concerns and provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience for our airport users.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless operations and maintenance of our airfield and facilities.
- Two years of labor experience, preferably in a maintenance or operations role.
- Valid state motor vehicle license with an excellent driving record.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class B or higher, free of serious or frequent traffic violations.
- Ability to operate specialized equipment, such as backhoes and front-end loaders.
- Public pesticide license and Flagger & Traffic Control Certificate required.
- Familiarity with construction tools, equipment, and methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with peers, supervisors, and the public.
This is a safety-sensitive position that requires working in a fast-paced environment with moderate to loud noise levels. You will be exposed to various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and precipitation. You will also be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
