Job Title: Adjunct Faculty - Automotive

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Automotive courses at Northern VA Community College.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Automotive courses to students from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • Develop and implement course syllabi and instructional materials.
  • Maintain accurate records, assign grades, and assess student progress.
  • Adhere to college policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Stay current with industry developments and advancements in the automotive field.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Automotive Technology or related field.
  • Demonstrated competency in the automotive field.
  • Possess or be willing to obtain ASE certifications in the field.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to use instructional technology and teach in various formats.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in auto program student recruitment and placement.
  • ASE Master Technician certification.
  • 4 years of current employment in the automotive field.
  • Prior experience teaching in higher education.
  • Experience teaching in classroom, hybrid, and online formats.

Working Conditions:

Must reside in the DMV area.
