The work affects an entire area, ultimately influencing the overall performance and efficiency of the sub-function/job family.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee activities related to the creation of new products and/or enhancements and functionalities of existing products, including the development of business cases, requirements documentation (BRDs), product innovation, and feature definition based on market trends and client needs.
- Manage the complete product development lifecycle, scoping product releases, aligning and monitoring business priorities, and incorporating regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Establish a product vision that aligns with business objectives and develop a corresponding roadmap for delivery.
- Monitor market, industry, and client trends relevant to the field and adapt them for application within Citi's product and solution platforms.
- Develop plans, prioritize, coordinate design and delivery of products or features for release, and act as a product ambassador within the user community.
- Collaborate closely with Technology, Business Managers, and other stakeholders to achieve delivery goals.
- Manage and implement a diverse range of products and solutions.
- Identify solutions that encompass data analytics, reporting, CRM, trade workflows, and trade processing.
- Responsible for delivering tangible business results and providing insights regarding product development that necessitates a degree of responsibility over technical strategy.
- Partner with senior team members and leaders, as well as a widely distributed global user community, to define and implement solutions.
- Create clear and specific project plans, business and technical requirements documents for product execution.
- Engage with business managers, technology, and sales to understand their long-term vision, discuss industry trends, and integrate them into the product and solutions strategy.
- Focus on controls and governance, including conducting security and access reviews, approvals, controls testing, and documentation.
- Assess risk appropriately when making business decisions, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and transparently managing and reporting control issues.
Qualifications:
- 6-10 years of relevant experience.
- Intellectual curiosity and strong analytical and conceptual thinking abilities.
- Proactively seeks and develops new opportunities.
- Detail-oriented with a process and analytical mindset.
- Ability to build networks and relationships both internally and externally.
- Familiarity with product development methodologies.
- Direct experience in end-to-end project delivery, preferably in product development, and knowledge of various analytical tools including Qlikview, Tableau, and Access.
- Comfortable conducting data investigations that require a high degree of accuracy under tight timelines.
- Ability to perform business analysis, troubleshoot data quality issues, and conduct exploratory and descriptive analysis of business datasets.
- Capable of structuring and breaking down problems, developing solutions, and driving results.
- Knowledge of process management with a focus on detail and comprehensiveness.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate clearly with team members across the organization.
- Project management skills with experience leading large cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience generating reports and presentations for management.
Education:
- Bachelor's/University degree; Master's degree preferred.
