Critical Care Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team at WMCHealth. As a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough and accurate patient assessments, including history and physical examinations.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab results and radiology images.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on health-related topics.
- Initiate and facilitate referrals and transfers of patients to other healthcare facilities, as needed.
- Document patient care and treatment in the medical record, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Manage medical, surgical, and trauma cases, including phlebotomy and IV access.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with current licensure in the State of New York.
- Minimum of two years of experience in Critical Care, with a strong background in ICU nursing.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and ATLS, with PALS certification preferred.
