College Transition Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a College Transition Specialist at El Paso Community College. This is a part-time position that requires strong organizational and planning skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and educators.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate and streamline the enrollment process for students, ensuring they are aware of the benefits of enrolling and completing a college degree program.
- Develop and execute projects and activities to achieve recruitment goals and objectives, aligning with the College's mission and vision.
- Collaborate with key Student Services personnel, including Admissions, College Readiness and Assessment, Financial Aid, and the Center for Students with Disabilities.
- Work with Independent School Districts to promote the EPCC enrollment process to students, parents, and educators.
- Recommend and present training or workshops to high school students and their families, promoting programs and assisting with campus visits or tours.
- Assist with completing necessary forms, including Apply Texas and the FAFSA, and participate in all aspects of students' transition to higher education.
- Act as liaison to assigned ISDs, monitoring and tracking student enrollment progress, updating student information, and following up with students and ISD staff.
- Provide student mentoring and develop positive relationships with high school staff.
- Prepare and maintain written documentation of program activities, student evaluations, and assessments, compiling data and statistics to determine admission and participation rates.
- Prepare and submit reports, ensuring program plans are implemented and monitored to meet strategic goals.
- Associate's Degree and three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of college admissions, financial aid, and registration procedures and practices.
- Ability to effectively use organizational and planning skills, maintain confidentiality, and generate presentations.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Bilingual Spanish/English is desired.
- This is a security-sensitive position, and the successful candidate will be required to undergo a criminal background check.
- Ability to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
