Residential Support Specialist

The Residential Instructor will be responsible for creating a safe and supportive environment for clients in a residential setting. This involves developing and implementing strategies to promote independent performance and mastery in daily living skills, as well as facilitating therapeutic processes. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and external agencies. A valid CT driver's license and good driving record are also required. In addition to direct care responsibilities, the instructor will participate in training sessions, staff meetings, and other required activities to enhance their skills and knowledge. We offer a competitive salary range of $32,000 - $40,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create a safe and supportive environment for clients in a residential setting
- Develop and implement strategies to promote independent performance and mastery in daily living skills
- Facilitate therapeutic processes and maintain accurate records
- Participate in training sessions and staff meetings
Education and Experience:
An Associate's degree in a relevant field and at least one year of experience in the human services field are preferred. Training in PMT and First Aid/CPR certification are essential qualifications for this position. A valid CT driver's license and good driving record are also required.
