About the Job:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Instructor to join our team at Community Residences. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of youth who require specialized care and support.

Job Summary:

The Residential Instructor is responsible for providing 24/7 direct care and support to residents in our residential program. This includes creating a safe and nurturing environment, implementing treatment plans, and facilitating independent performance and mastery in daily living skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct Care: Provide individualized care and support to residents, including medication administration, personal care, and assistance with daily living tasks.
  • Treatment Planning: Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans that address residents' physical, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Behavioral Support: Implement approved protective hold techniques to ensure the safety of residents, staff, and others, while also promoting positive behaviors and coping strategies.
  • Clinical Documentation: Accurately document resident progress, behavior, and medical information in accordance with agency policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Education: Associate's Degree preferred with at least one year of experience in the human services field.
  • Training: Completion of Physical Management Training (PMT), First Aid, CPR, and Medication Administration Certification required within specified timeframes.
  • Licensure/Certification: Valid CT driver's license and good driving record required.
