Job Summary

Whitsons Culinary Group is seeking a skilled Food Service Worker to join our team. As a key member of our culinary staff, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals to students in a safe and healthful manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service: Prepare and serve food according to menus and in correct portion sizes as mandated by yield guides.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Perform cleaning duties, including sweeping and mopping of floors, cleaning of equipment and work areas, dishwashing and pot washing.
  • Supply Management: Check and store incoming supplies.
  • Customer Service: Deliver food to staff, students, and catering events as needed.
  • Compliance: Comply with all state, federal, local health department requirements for safe food handling and client location security protocols.
Requirements
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year professional food service experience preferred.
  • Language: Ability to speak and read English in order to understand and perform job assignments.
Working Conditions

The work is performed primarily in the kitchen and on the serving line. Standing most of the workday is required. Work requires movement in and out of storerooms and freezers. Exposure to extreme temperatures (hot and cold) due to cooking and refrigeration equipment.
