UPMC Department of Horizon Urology is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse to join their team in New Castle, PA. This position involves working Monday through Friday with one late shift on Monday and an early out every Friday at 2pm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional nursing care to office patients under the supervision of patient care providers.
  • Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies, including OSHA, CLIA, and the PA Department of Health.
  • Administer medications, including oral, SQ, IM, and IV drip, as directed.
  • Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
  • Assess patient's general condition and take vital signs and weight.
  • Document all activities, interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.
  • Promote wellness by providing patient education materials and communicating physician advice/instructions.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing.
  • One year clinical experience preferred.
  • CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure.
  • Act 33 with renewal.
  • Act 34.
