Corrections Officer: St. Brides Correctional Center

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Corrections Officer at the St. Brides Correctional Center. As a Corrections Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of the public, staff, and supervisees within the facility.
Key Responsibilities- Provide security and supervision to adult supervisees within the facility
- Ensure the safe and secure confinement of supervisees
- Interact with visitors, staff, and the public to maintain orderly and secure operations
- Conduct daily activities and observations of supervisees
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to read and comprehend workplace policies and procedures
- Ability to lawfully possess a firearm in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Ability to successfully complete all pre-employment requirements, including medical screening, background check, and drug testing
- Stable employment history
- Military or related criminal justice experience
- Spanish speaking applicants are encouraged to apply
