We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Corrections Officers at the St. Brides Correctional Center. As a Corrections Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of the public, staff, and supervisees. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in the community.
Key Responsibilities- Provide security and supervision to adult supervisees at the institution and during transport
- Observe and record supervisee behavior and movement to ensure safe and secure confinement
- Interact with visitors, staff, and the public to maintain orderly and secure operations
- Contribute to the public safety mission through evidence-based practices and principles
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to read and comprehend workplace policies and procedures
- Ability to lawfully possess a firearm in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Stable employment history
- Military or related criminal justice experience
- Spanish speaking applicants are encouraged to apply
