Job Title: Radiation Physicist Assistant

Highmark Health is seeking a highly skilled Radiation Physicist Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our Radiation Physics Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of radiation in our medical facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the implementation of the AHN Radiation Safety program and quality goals and objectives.
  • Provide technical support to ensure compliance with PA DEP, TJC, CMS, and DOH regulations.
  • Perform annual and post-repair regulatory and image quality physics testing on AHN imaging equipment.
  • Develop and oversee imaging QC program for diagnostic imaging equipment.
  • Monitor, review, analyze, and report patient dose metrics.
  • Provide radiation safety monitoring and support for patients receiving therapeutic amounts of radioactive material.
  • Respond to internal and external radiation emergencies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Radiologic/Nuclear Imaging, Sciences, or Biomedical Engineering field or 6 years of relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor's degree.
  • 1-3 years of computer skills, including spreadsheets and documents.
  • 1-3 years of calculator and math skills.
  • Preferred: 3-5 years of imaging technologist experience, 1-3 years of regulatory compliance experience, valid driver's license, ARRT or NMTCB certification.
