The Healthcare Quality Auditor plays a vital role within the Audits division, engaging in a wide array of healthcare performance evaluation initiatives at HSAG. This position, fueled by a commitment to healthcare excellence and analytical thinking, undertakes—under guidance—healthcare auditing, data verification, and performance assessment tasks throughout various phases including initiation, daily operations, audit assistance, evaluation, and reporting. Responsibilities encompass formulating project plans and timelines; supervising project activities; assisting coordination personnel in the management and upkeep of project documentation; facilitating client teleconferences and meetings; conducting online research on healthcare subjects; leading primary source verification; confirming performance metrics and outcomes; and delivering regular updates to Data Science & Advanced Analytics management.

Specific project assignments will be elaborated upon with candidates during the interview stage.



Key Responsibilities and Competencies
  • Contribute as a member of HSAG's Audits division within Data Science & Advanced Analytics.
  • Act as a communication link between relevant management and staff, relaying decisions and information to organizational units and external agencies as necessary, under supervision.
  • Oversee project management activities, including communication (written, telephonic, electronic), under guidance.
  • Engage with project collaborators, consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders on audit and performance measure validation initiatives, under supervision.
  • Organize, tag, and categorize documents for assigned projects on designated SharePoint team sites and HSAG's corporate and federal networks in accordance with HSAG's governance protocols.
  • Prepare project outputs and manage the documentation and submission of deliverables using the appropriate methods (i.e., electronic, hard copy, direct data entry, etc.), under supervision.
  • Establish and follow project timelines and task schedules, identify areas for process enhancement, and develop quality improvement strategies accordingly.
  • Adhere to established deadlines and accurately prepare and type deliverables, reports, various project documents, correspondence, and other materials from drafts or prescribed instructions.
  • Assist in the creation of written and data-driven reports in Microsoft Word and Excel, under supervision.
  • Conduct online research, including literature reviews of clinical topics as assigned.
  • Participate in relevant healthcare educational and training sessions as required.
  • Perform Internal Quality Control (IQC) assessments regarding the efficiency and effectiveness of conducted activities. Present findings and suggested solutions and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Serve as a resource for HSAG staff and clients on Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) measures and non-HEDIS performance metrics as applicable.
  • Represent HSAG professionally at all times.
