Introducing an Enhanced Compensation Structure

Salary Range:

Solo Operators:
$80,000 - $100,000

Team Operators:
$110,000 - $125,000

Operators receive $40 for each night spent in the sleeper berth while 'under dispatch', $40 for every live load or unload, $20 for each drop/hook of a loaded trailer, and $100 for all complete pickups and deliveries within designated urban areas.


Operating primarily in the Northeastern region, typically making trips from Western New York to the eastern seaboard, covering areas from Maine to Maryland.


Experience the advantage of returning home every weekend, with the possibility of additional home time during the week - Reset hours are always spent at home.


Interestingly, only a small fraction of the cargo consists of ice cream; we have numerous long-standing clients for whom we deliver.

Adhering to all Department of Transportation regulations and completing all required company documentation.

Candidate Requirements:
Possession of a Class A Commercial Driver's License;

Experience in Class A transportation or long-haul driving is highly valued, particularly in metropolitan areas of the Northeast;

Accountability for maintaining safe practices;

Adherence to company policies and DOT regulations;

Strong map reading abilities;

Physical capability to lift up to 75 lbs and regularly bend and climb;

Ability to push and pull a dolly loaded with products weighing up to 500 lbs;

Flexibility to accommodate an irregular work schedule;

Willingness to be away on overnight routes, potentially every other night (at most out of town Sunday or Monday through Friday);

Effective communication skills (both written and verbal), including the ability to check in with the team regularly;

A genuine passion for customer service and representing both yourself and Perry's with the utmost quality;

High integrity and a commitment to teamwork; and

Must successfully pass a DOT physical and drug screening, and maintain a clean driving record.
